Folklore

According to legend, a long time ago, a young man named ten thousand years ago saw that the season was very chaotic, and he wanted to set the season. However, he could not find a way to calculate the time, one day, he was tired of chopping wood, sitting under the shade of the tree to rest, the movement of the tree shadow inspired him, he designed a sundial to measure the time of the day. Later, he was inspired by the dripping spring on the cliff, and he began to make a five-layer colander to calculate the time. Over time, he found that every three hundred and sixty days, the four seasons return once, and the length of the day is repeated.

At that time, the king was called Zu Yi, and he was often distressed by the unexpected weather. After ten thousand years of knowing, he took the sundial and the colander to the king, and explained the truth of the operation of the sun and the moon to Zu Yi. Zub after listening to great joy, feel reasonable. So he left ten thousand years, built the sun and moon Pavilion in front of the Temple of Heaven, and built the sundial and the colander pavilion. And hope to measure the law of the sun and moon, calculate the accurate time of morning and evening, create a calendar, for the benefit of the people of the world. After the creation of the calendar, ten thousand years pointed to the sky, said to Zuyi: "Now it is twelve months full, the old year has been finished, the New Year begins, please the king set a festival." Zu Yi said: "Spring is the beginning of the year, it is called the Spring Festival." It is said that this is the origin of Spring Festival.   next
