The traditional ethnic costume of the Han Chinese

Hanfu is the traditional clothing of the Han nationality, also known as clothing, clothes, and Han clothing. It is based on the "Huaxia - Han" culture as the background and dominant idea, and focuses on the Chinese etiquette culture. It has a unique Han nationality style and character, and is obviously different from other nationalities' traditional clothing and accessory system.

The basic style of Hanfu, from the shape of the main jacket under the clothing system, deep clothing system, clothing system and other types. Under the basic style and because of its neckline, sleeve shape, waist, cutting and matching methods of different changes deduce hundreds of styles.

Hanfu originated from the Yellow Emperor, prepared by Yao and Shun, and originated from the Yellow Emperor's crown suit, which was shaped in the Zhou Dynasty, and formed a complete crown suit system through the Han Dynasty according to the Four Books and the Five Classics.

1. Basic structure

Hanfu is made of cloth with a width of 2 feet 2 inches (about 50cm), and is divided into collar, skirt, skirt, garment, train, sleeve, sleeve, belt, 韨 and other ten parts. Take two pieces of cloth of equal length, fold them in half as the front and back train, and sew the back center seam. The front without the skirt is a straight collar skirt. If you take another piece of cloth, cut it into two skirts, and sew it on the left and right flanges, it is the right skirt with diagonal collar. The middle seam of the front and back train is called 裻, that is, the du pulse, Ren pulse, and the right side of the pulse, so it is called the right side. The length of the train is divided into waist, knees, and feet. According to the length of the train, Hanfu has three kinds of length: ru, 裋, and shenyi. The seam between the sleeve and the skirt is called the stitch, and the cuff is called the quash. A complete set of Hanfu usually has three layers: Xiaoyi (underwear), Zhongyi and overcoat.

2. Decorative accessories

Hanfu is an integrated clothing system consisting of clothes, headwear, hair styling, face decoration, shoes and accessories. It has condensed the outstanding craftsmanship and aesthetics of Chinese culture, such as textile, batik, quilting and brocade, and has inherited more than 30 intangible cultural heritages of China, embodying the reputation of splendid China, a country of superior clothes and a land of rites.

3. Shoe decoration pattern

Animal, plant and geometric patterns are used in the decorative patterns of Han clothing. The way of expression of patterns has roughly experienced several stages such as extraction, standardization, and realism. The patterns before the Shang and Zhou dynasties, like the original Chinese characters, are more concise, generalized, and strongly abstracted. From the Zhou Dynasty to the Tang and Song dynasties, the pattern was symmetrical and the layout of the pattern was strict. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, attention was paid to realistic techniques, and various animals and plants were often depicted as delicate, realistic and lifelike, as if they were directly picked from real life without any processing, fully demonstrating the diligence and wisdom of the Han people.
